"Centering" with continuous measurement
Introduction
The gaps between gear teeth are measured sequentially. The gap dimension is calculated
from the sum of all gaps and the number of teeth. The center position required to continue
machining is the position of the first measuring point plus 1/2 the average gap size. When
measuring, the speed is selected so that for each interpolation clock cycle a measured value
can be reliably detected.
