10. Initial Operation

a) Removing the Car Body

The car body is secured with holding brackets which must be slid out from the retaining pins. The car body can then be
taken off.

b) Laying the Receiver Antenna Cable

The receiver's antenna cable is normally rolled up on delivery. Unwrap the antenna cable completely and smoothen it
carefully.
Guide it through the antenna tube and plug the antenna tube into the attachment on the vehicle.
If a rubber cap is enclosed for the antenna tube, it prevents the dislocation of the cable after attachment on the tip.
Make sure that antenna cable does not enter the drive.
Don't shorten the antenna cable, that reduces the range. Do not roll up excess antenna cable that does
not fit in the antenna tube! Simply let it hang loosely out of the antenna tube.

c) Placing the Rechargeable Battery Pack in the Vehicle

Attention!
The battery pack must not be connected to the drive control unit yet!
At the bottom centre of the vehicle there is a holder for the rechargeable battery pack. The attachment of the rechargeable
battery pack is carried out using Velcro. Insert the battery pack into the holder. Use a normal NiCd-/NiMH-Racing pack
with 6 cells.
Do not use a LiPo rechargeable battery pack as the drive control unit has no low voltage protection for
LiPo batteries. Excessive discharging of LiPo batteries renders them inoperable!

d) Inserting Batteries/Rechargeable Batteries in the Transmitter

If you have not done so already, insert the rechargeable batteries/batteries into the transmitter. Please observe correct
polarity (plus/+ and minus/-), see the label on the battery compartment in the transmitter. To open the battery
compartment, simply slide the battery compartment forwards and then remove it.
