OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
CHARGING THE BATTERY (D)
ƒ Insert the battery pack (4) into the charger cradle (9). It can only be in-
serted with the correct polarity.
ƒ Connect the mains adapter (10) to a mains power socket.
ATTACHING/DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY PACK TO/
FROM THE APPLIANCE (A)
INSERTING THE BATTERY PACK:
ƒ Push the ON/OFF switch (2) to the "OFF" position.
ƒ Insert the battery pack (4) into the appliance until it clicks into place.
REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK:
ƒ Press the two battery release buttons (5) on the side of the appliance at
the same time and remove the battery pack.
CHECKING THE BATTERY CHARGE LEVEL
If the appliance is switched on, the status/remaining charge will be shown
on the battery LED (3) as follows:
ƒ RED / ORANGE / GREEN = maximum charge
ƒ RED / ORANGE = medium charge
ƒ RED = low charge - charge the battery

CHANGING/INSERTING THE TOOL/COLLET CHUCK

ƒ Press the spindle lock (8) and hold it down.
ƒ Turn the tensioning nut (6) until the lock clicks into place.
ƒ Undo the tensioning nut (6) from the thread using the combination
spanner (22).
ƒ Remove any tool which is inserted.
ƒ First push the intended tool through the tensioning nut (6) before in-
serting it into the appropriate collet chuck (17) for the tool shaft.
ƒ Press the spindle lock (8) and hold it down.
ƒ Push the collet chuck (17) into the thread insert and screw the tension-
ing nut (6) tight with the combination spanner (22).
NOTE: Use the screwdriver side of the combination spanner (22) to
undo and tighten the screw on the mandrel (12).
SWITCHING ON AND OFF/SETTING SPEED RANGE
Switching on/setting the speed range:
Set the ON/OFF switch (1) with the speed control (2) to a position be-
tween "1" and "MAX".
