CALIBRATION FUNCTION
If the sound level meter to be calibrated has a 0.5" microphone, fit the supplied
adaptor sleeve to the coupler on the Calibrator. 1.0" microphones fit directly without
the adapter.
Insert the microphone of the meter to be calibrated carefully all the way into the
coupler section of the Calibrator.
On the sound meter to be calibrated, set the range suitable for either 94dB or
114dB.
Set the Calibrator to either 94dB or 114dB as required.
The Calibrator will output a pure 1000Hz tone at the specified level.
Adjust the calibration potentiometer on the sound level meter (screwdriver supplied)
until the sound level meter displays precisely the correct level (see operation
manual for the sound level meter for detailed instruction).
When calibration is complete, switch off both devices and remove the sound level
meter from the calibrator.

MAINTENANCE
Changing the battery
Under normal operation, when the Calibrator is switched on the Power/Low Battery
Indicator will illuminate to indicate the battery voltage is normal.
If the Battery Indicator does not light up, then the batteries are under the minimum
required voltage for correct operation and should be replaced.
To install or change the 9V batteries, open the battery compartment. Replace only
with the same type of batteries noting the correct polarity.
Replace the battery cover before use.
Cleaning the casing
Wipe using a damp cloth or sponge. Do not use solvents as these may damage the
casing. Do not immerse in water.
