3.3.1.18 Deleting every page
You can clear every page at once by using the FORCED CLEAR [FCLR] menu function. This will also
reset the computer
3.3.1.19 Correcting a character
A single character can be corrected by moving the cursor over it and then typing the correct character.
This is called "overtyping".
3.3.1.20 Inserting a character
A character can be inserted by moving the cursor to the right or left of the position where the character is
to be inserted. Pressing [INS] followed by  or  inserts a space and moves the remaining text to left or
right.
3.3.1.21 Inserting a line
A line can be inserted by moving the cursor to above or below the position where a line is to be inserted.
Pressing [INS] followed by  or  inserts a blank line and moves the remaining text up or down one line.

P571 information

Using the [MENU] [INFO] option, you can check if your P571 is successfully communicating with other
parts of the system. On selecting [INFO], information about your P571 will be typically displayed on
screen as follows:
P571 vers: 01 b: 003
Eq; 150M (500') rod
Ser: 26
Comms: 235 100%
NOTE: At the bottom of the screen will be four menu options: [COMMS], [intrn], [cam], and [VCM]. The
following information briefly describes each of these functions.
3.4.1 P571 communications – [INFO] [comms]
On selecting [COMMS], a table of system communications information will be displayed. This is used by
Pearpoint technicians for diagnostic and testing purposes.
3.4.2 Internal information – [INFO] [intrn]
On selecting [intrn], a table of information relating to the rod counter will be displayed. This is used by
Pearpoint technicians for diagnostic and testing purposes.
3.4.3 Camera information – [INFO] [cam]
This selection allows you to check the camera details. Information on the camera serial number and the
installed camera software version is detailed here. In addition there is other communications information
for use by Pearpoint technicians for diagnostic and testing purposes.
