The Generac Power Systems XT8500EFI engine may be running but not producing electrical output due to the following possible causes:

1. Circuit breaker is open – Reset the circuit breaker.
2. Poor connection or defective cord set – Check and repair the connection or replace the cord set.
3. Connected device is faulty – Connect another device that is known to be in good condition.
4. Fault in the generator – Contact an Independent Authorized Service Dealer (IASD).
5. GFCI breaker module is open – Correct the ground fault and press the reset button on the GFCI breaker module.

These steps can help diagnose and resolve the issue.
