Galactic TXT WARNING Laser radiation Avoid exposure to beam. This device is a class 3B laser device according to the classification in NEN-EN-IEC 60825-1:2014. It emits visible radiation in the wavelength range 400–700 nm. Exposure to the direct or reflected laser beam, including accidental short term exposure, is hazardous to the eye.

Galactic TXT Installation Safety Instructions for Installation WARNING Incorrect installation can cause serious injuries and damage of property. If trussing systems are used, installation must be carried out only by instructed or skilled persons. ● Make sure that the device is rigidly mounted to prevent movement due to vibration or jarring.
Galactic TXT Personal Protective Equipment During installation and rigging wear personal protective equipment in compliance with the national and site-specific regulations. Installation Site Requirements ● The device can be used only indoors. ● The minimum distance to other objects must be bigger than 0,5 m.
Galactic TXT Angle Adjustment You can adjust the angle of the device with the adjustment screws (06). 01) Turn the adjustment screws (06) counterclockwise to release them. Tilt the device at the desired angle (see Fig. 10). Turn the adjustment screws (06) clockwise to tighten them. Make sure that the device cannot move freely after the adjustment screws (06) are tightened.
Follow all applicable national and site-specific regulations regarding laser safety. Stand-alone Setup When the Galactic TXT is not connected to a controller or to other devices, it functions as a stand-alone device. It can be operated manually with the control panel, the keyboard, or the remote control.
Fig. 11. Fig. 11 Master/Slave Setup The Galactic TXT supports master/slave control mode. To connect multiple devices in a master/slave setup, follow the steps below: Connect the first device’s DMX OUT connector to the second device’s DMX IN connector with a 3-pin DMX cable.
Continue assigning the starting addresses of the remaining devices by adding each time 20 to the previous number. Make sure that you do not have any overlapping channels in order to control each Galactic TXT correctly. If two or more devices are addressed similarly, they will work similarly.
Before connecting the device to the power supply, make sure that the current, voltage and frequency match the input voltage, current and frequency specified on the information label on the device. Control Modes The Galactic TXT supports the following control modes: ● Stand-alone:...

Galactic TXT Music Mode In this menu you can activate sound-controlled mode. Press the ENTER button to enter music mode. Press the UP/DOWN buttons to select one of the 9 built-in shows. Galactic TXT Time Mode In this menu you can activate time mode and adjust the time settings. Press the ENTER button to activate time mode. The time is projected. Press the ENTER button to enable time editing mode. Press the UP/DOWN buttons to select one of the following 2 options: Time format, see 6.6.4.1.
Galactic TXT Day, the adjustment range is 01–31 Hour, the adjustment range is 00–11 Minute, the adjustment range is 00–59 Second, the adjustment range is 00–59 Time display format. There are 2 options available: 12-hour format and 24-hour format Countdown Mode In this menu you can activate countdown mode and adjust the settings of the countdown.
Galactic TXT Slave Mode In this menu you can set the device as a slave device in master/slave control mode. Press the ENTER button to set the device as a slave device. System Settings In this menu you can configure the show parameters and the device’s parameters.
Galactic TXT Horizontal mirror effect Normal view Press the ENTER button to set the parameter. Set Size In this submenu you can adjust the width and the height of the projection (zoom in/out). Press the UP/DOWN buttons to adjust the width (X axis). The adjustment range is 01–16.
Galactic TXT Use the ENTER key to open the desired menu, to confirm your choice or to ENTER set the currently selected value. RIGHT Use the RIGHT ARROW key to go to the next submenu item. ARROW LEFT Use the LEFT ARROW key to return to the previous submenu item.
Galactic TXT Text Mode In this menu you can edit and save custom text and playback the saved text. Press the ENTER key to enter text mode. Press the UP/DOWN ARROW keys to select one of the following options: Text edit mode, see 6.7.3.1. Text Edit Mode Custom text playback, see 6.7.3.2.
Galactic TXT Name Function ● Press the DRAW key to add a drawing effect. DRAW ● Press the UP/DOWN ARROW keys to set the animation speed. ● Press the ZOOM key repeatedly to add a zoom-in, a zoom-out, or a ZOOM zoom-in/out effect.
Galactic TXT Press the PLAY key together with one of the 0–9 NUMBER keys to playback PLAY the text saved under the respective number. LOOP Press the LOOP PLAYBACK key to play all saved custom texts in a loop after PLAYBACK each other.
Galactic TXT Time Format In this submenu you can select how the time is shown. Press the UP/DOWN ARROW keys to select one of the following 2 options: Show time and date Show only time The time is shown in the chosen format.
Galactic TXT To play the countdown: Press the ENTER key to enter countdown mode. The countdown is projected. Press the PAUSE key or the SPACE bar to play the countdown. ● To pause the countdown, press the PAUSE key or the SPACE bar.

Galactic TXT Remote Control Operation The device can be operated with an IR remote control. The remote control is included in the delivery. DANGER Do not ingest battery, chemical burn hazard. The remote control contains a coin cell battery. If the coin cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death.
Galactic TXT ● Press the MIRROR button repeatedly to flip the projection in 4 directions. ● Press the PAUSE button to pause the show. Press the PAUSE button again to resume the show. Music Mode Press the SOUND button to enter music mode.
Galactic TXT DMX Channels The device has 20 DMX channels. In CH 1 you can select the operating mode of the device. Depending on the selection made in CH 1, the rest of the channels have different functions in the different operating modes.

Galactic TXT Pattern Selection Chart To select a pattern, follow the steps below: Set CH 1 in the range 150–199 to enter pattern mode. Set CH 2 in the range 064–095 to select Group 3, for example. Set CH 3 in the range 016–031. The following pattern is projected: Set CH 1 in the range 200–255 to enable the selection of a second pattern, if needed.
Galactic TXT Troubleshooting This troubleshooting guide contains actions which can be carried out by the user. The device does not contain user-serviceable parts. Unauthorized modifications to the device will render the warranty void. Such modifications may result in injuries and material damage.

Galactic TXT Dry the lens carefully with a lint-free cloth. Clean the DMX and other connections with a damp cloth. Attention ● Do not immerse the device in liquid. ● Do not use alcohol or solvents. ● Make sure that the connections are fully dry before connecting the device to the power supply and to other devices.
Galactic TXT Deinstallation, Transportation and Storage Instructions for Deinstallation WARNING Incorrect deinstallation can cause serious injuries and damage of property. ● Let the device cool down before dismounting. ● Disconnect power supply before deinstallation. ● Always observe the national and site-specific regulations during deinstallation and derigging of the device.
