Fault
The wheelchair does not
travel in a straight line

backwards too easily
The brakes are gripping
poorly or asymmetrically
Rolling resistance is very

The castors wobble when

Incorrect tyre pressure on one rear wheel
One or more spokes broken
Spokes tightened unevenly
Castor bearings are dirty or damaged
Rear wheels are mounted too far forwards
Back angle too large
Seat angle too large
Incorrect tyre pressure in one or both rear
tyres
Brake setting incorrect
Tyre pressure in rear tyres is too low
Rear wheels not parallel
Too little tension in castor bearing block
Castor has worn smooth
Bearings are dirty or faulty
Possible cause
End of stroke reached
Battery is not charged
Hand control not connected
Hand control defective
Control unit defective
Cables entangled or pinched
Hand control function is locked
Battery level is low
The wheelchair has been used outdoors in
cold temperatures (below —10° C)
Action
Correct tyre pressure, → 11.4 Tyres, page 50
Replace faulty spoke(s), → qualified technician
Tighten loose spokes, → qualified technician
Clean the bearings or replace the castor,
→ qualified technician
Mount the rear wheels further back,
→ qualified technician
Reduce the backrest angle, → qualified technician
Mount the castor upper on the front fork,
→ qualified technician
Correct tyre pressure, → 11.4 Tyres, page 50
Correct the brake setting, → qualified technician

Ensure the rear wheels are parallel, → qualified
technician
Tighten the nut on the bearing block axle slightly,

Change castor, → qualified technician
Clean the bearings or replace the castor,

Operate opposite button

Ensure hand control correctly connected to
control unit.
Call qualified technician to replace hand control
Call qualified technician to replace control unit

control function
Charge the battery
