17. A progress bar displays. The update process normally takes 1-2 minutes.
18. Once the update has finished, power off the unit by moving the battery
select switch to the "OFF" position, or by disconnecting the external battery.
19. Ensure the unit is completely discharged of electrical potential by pressing
the status button repeatedly until no LED lights flash.
20. Return the channel select dip switches to the desired channel setting.
21. Move the battery select switch to either the "Alkaline" or "Lithium" position,
according to the type of battery being used. Reconnect the external battery
if equipped.
22. Repeat the above process with all the Nodes in the Network.
The firmware update is now complete.
F.2 TROUBLESHOOTING

Make sure the green light is flashing on and off in one second intervals.

The B8800-5 multicolored update ribbon cable must be used on all units
with the exception of the RS-232 version supervisor.
□
Perform updates using the
adapter. Other adapters and native serial ports have been unreliable.

Make sure the batteries are fresh.
