6. Move the battery select switch to either the "Alkaline" or "Lithium" position
depending on the type of battery being used. Reconnect the external
battery if equipped.
7. The green LED indicator on the right side of the unit will begin to flash in
one-second intervals.
8. Download the 8800 GeoNet Firmware Update Package from the
website (https://www.geokon.com/software).
9. In Windows Explorer, right-click the downloaded file and select "Extract
All..." (refer to the figure below).

10. When prompted, click the "Extract All" button. Refer to the figure below.

11. Choose a destination and click the "Extract" button. See the figure below.

12. Open the GeoNetUpdateUtility.exe application. See the figure below. If a
security warning appears click "Run".
