Dante Controller configures only Dante devices on the same subnet. Dante devices on
the same segment (same layer 2 network) but different subnet cannot be configured.
The name of Dante devices that cannot be configured is displayed in red under [Device
Name] on the [Device Info] tab. They are not displayed on the [Routing] tab.
Set the IP address of the Dante devices and the PC, where Dante Controller is running,
so that they are on the same subnet.
Network with DHCP server

DHCP automatically assigns the IP address of Dante devices. Set the PC running
Dante Controller to obtain IP address from DHCP automatically.
Network without DHCP server

The IP addresses of Dante devices are automatically assigned in the range of
169.254.0.0/16 by Auto IP. Set the IP address of the PC running Dante Controller in
the range of 169.254.0.0/16 manually.

Initial setup and registration

Discover and set up the MAS-A100 units, and register them in MASM-1.
Discovery and IP address setting (1/3)
1. Open the [Register] tab of MASM-1, and press the [Scan] button.
Dante Controller discovers MAS-A100 units on the same segment (same layer 2
network).
Notes
MAS-A100 units beyond the router or layer 3 switch cannot be discovered.

