Maintenance Work

7.3.1

Checking the Air Gap

The brakes are delivered ex works with pre-set air gap X (nominal air gap) ready for
installation. As a result of wear, the air gap increases. To ensure proper functioning,
the air gap X needs to be checked at regular intervals:
Checking the Air Gap X
Use a feeler gauge (F) to check the air
gap X.
If the air gap X is larger than X
gap must be readjusted. To this end,
follow the instructions in section "7.3.2
Readjusting the Air Gap".
