Can weekly self-tests be cancelled?
• No, weekly self tests must be performed to check the whole system is working correctly.
• Weekly self-tests also prevent door warping
Should I use a particular type of battery and can I use rechargeable?
• Rechargeable Batteries are not to be used. Duracell Pro-cell LR14 Batteries are
recommended. Contact your supplier or the Technical Advice line for more information
Do you have to use Night-time Release?
• No, but it is recommended that fire doors are kept closed at night. Night-time Release
therefore does this automatically
Why are Receivers working sometimes and dropping out of range at other
times?
• Check Aerial on System X transmitter is connected and secure
• Check signal strength with Full Range Test
• Check location of transmitter and receiver - electrical equipment, servers, lift shafts and
other places where there is an intensity of metal can affect radio reliability
• Has the building changed since installation? Installations, walls, building work etc can
affect signal quality

• Is Dorgard X
mounted to a metal kicker plate? This can affect range and it is
recommeded Dorgard spacers are used. Contact your supplier or the Technical Advice
line for more details
