Level sensor

Whe� the level se�sor alarm so���s, a�tomatic
i�terlocks make it impossi�le to �rive the S3970RT /
S3370RT / S2770RT or raise the platform. For

Engine temperature

There is a temperat�re se�sor i� the e�gi�e. It
meas�res the temperat�re of the a�tifreeze-water
mixt�re as the mixt�re leaves the top of the ra�iator
a�� e�ters the top of the e�gi�e. If the temperat�re
reaches 210°F (99°C) a� alarm so���s. If the
temperat�re co�ti��es to rise, the e�gi�e sh�ts off
whe� the temperat�re reaches 230(F °
110°C). The e�gi�e will �ot restart ��til the
temperat�re �rops �elow 210°F (99°C).
Engine oil pressure

There is a� oil press�re se�sor i� the e�gi�e. It
meas�res the e�gi�e oil press�re at the oil filter. If
the press�re falls �elow a safe operati�g val�e the
S3970RT, S3370RT & S2770RT – 13865-1

e�gi�e sh�ts off. The e�gi�e will restart with low
press�re ��t it will o�l� r�� a few seco��s �efore it
a�tomaticall� sh�ts off agai�.
Platform height vs. drive speed

The machi�es feat�re a varia�le maxim�m �rive
spee� with height. As the elevatio� gets higher the
�rive spee� re��ces.
This spee� cha�ge is a�tomatic a�� req�ires �o
�ser i�terve�tio�. Refer to the Operatio� chapter
for f�rther i�formatio�.
Dynamic brakes

Whe� �o� �rive the machi�e �ow� a slope, if the
S3970RT / S3370RT / S2770RT �egi�s to coast
(o�tr�� the �rive motors) the h��ra�lic s�stem
se�ses the coasti�g co��itio�. The h��ra�lic
�rive motors the� �ecome h��ra�lic �rakes a��
the
S3970RT/S3370RT/S2770RT
This actio� preve�ts the S3970RT / S3370RT /
S2770RTs from spee�i�g �ow� gra�es.
Alternator not charging

If the fa� �elt �reaks, or the alter�ator o�tp�t falls
�elow a safe level for other reaso�s, the e�gi�e
a�tomaticall� sh�ts off a�� a� alarm so���s. As
lo�g as the S3970RT / S3370RT / S2770RT �atter�
is charge� �o� ca� lower the platform, i� the �s�al
wa�, from the platform co�trol �ox or the gro���
co�trol �ox witho�t the e�gi�e r���i�g.
Load sensing system

preve�t all platform moveme�t [�rive forwar� /
