The second column lists some of the causes for
each problem. The third column lists remedies.
A CAUTION
A
Any problem that cannot be fixed by actions
listed below should be referred to a trained
and qualified S3970RT / S3370RT / S2770RT
service technician.
Remedy
T�r� �atter� switch to o�.
Set the gro��� co�trol Emerge�c� Stop switch
to o� (�p). Also, if �o� are tr�i�g to start at
the platform co�trol �ox �o� sho�l� p�ll the
Emerge�c� Stop switch, at the platform co�trol
�ox, ��til it pops o�t (o�).
Set the Ke� switch to o� (the �ar s�m�ol).
If �o� are tr�i�g to start from the gro���
co�trol �ox, set the Gro���/Platform selector
to gro��� (�ow�). If �o� are tr�i�g to start from
the platform, set the selector to platform (�p).
Replace f�se.
If �o� are tr�i�g to start a ��al-f�el e�gi�e �e
s�re the f�el switch is set to the correct f�el.
DANGER:
Keep flames and lit tobacco away from
open fuel tanks.
Remove the cap from the gasoli�e or �iesel
ta�k to see if there is f�el.
Check the ga�ge(s) o� top of the LP ta�k(s). If
�o� are �si�g LP gas, �e s�re the valve o� top
of the ta�k is ope�.
Vis�all� check the air filter ga�ge.
Check e�gi�e oil chart i� «Specificatio�s»
chapter 3 for correct oil weight.
Completel� lower the platform.
Check for correct gra�e of H��ra�lic Oil.
Allow time for machi�e to warm �p.
Close the free-wheeli�g valve.
