Areas that will be scanned
These areas are digitized on the basis of user settings (for example, Fill holes in
scan area) and not detected by the selected threshold value.
Detected sample areas that will be scanned
These areas are digitized. They are detected on the basis of the selected
threshold value.
Detected sample areas that will not be scanned
These areas are not digitized on the basis of their position (for example, they
are outside the selection box). They are detected by the selected threshold
value.
Marker
If Scan area inside the marker is selected in the Preview panel, the preview
camera detects the marker pen. The inside areas appear in red color and will
be digitized.
Areas scanned in
This color is only displayed during scanning.
Hide all layers
All the layers will be hidden / existing but not visible. The original preview
image is shown but layer information are still valid. Note, that while this
function is active, none of the other preview functions can be selected.
Separate scanning
Discrete sample areas will be scanned separately as individual slides. If there
are two samples on a slide, two separate virtual slides will be created.
NOTE: Discrete areas are numbered in the preview window. You can select up
to 650 discrete areas. All discrete areas are scanned, please make sure to
activate the Remove specks function.
