This instruction sheet covers loading the
reel–in–a–box connectors listed in Figure 1 into
MA–6U Applicator 231039–2 or MA–10 Applicators
229534–[ ].
Reasons for reissue of this instruction sheet are
provided in Section 4, REVISION SUMMARY.
Each reel–in–a–box is a water–resistant cardboard
box containing 1000 strip–form connectors. The
connectors are mounted on a three–piece, plastic,
rotating reel in the center of the box. The box serves
as the reel holder, thus eliminating the need for a
separate reel holder assembly. A rewind slot is
provided to reel the connectors back into the box.

1. Open the small tabs at the connector opening of
the box. Refer to Figure 1. Unroll 0.457 m [18 in.]
of connectors.
2. Check the end of the connector carrier strip, and
remove any damaged connectors. DO NOT feed
damaged connectors into the applicator; otherwise,
the applicator will jam.
3. Cut the ends of the carrier strip as shown in
Figure 2. For mini connectors, DO NOT cut
through the pilot holes.
4. Cycle the applicator to the "REST" position.
For manually–operated applicators, rotate the
operating lever counterclockwise to the 9 o'clock
position. For power–operated applicators, push the
buttons until the cycle stops.
5. Turn the feed knob counterclockwise until the
index mark on the feed knob aligns with the index
mark on the backup plate. See Figure 3.
