Drive Replacement
This section describes the replacement of a solid state drive (SSD) or hard disk drive (HDD).
Observe these drive population guidelines for optimum performance:
• When populating drives, add drives to the lowest-numbered bays first.
• Keep an empty drive blanking tray in any unused bays to ensure proper air flow.

backplane (item 4) must connect to the lower
connector on the RAID controller card. The
cable from the front of the server connects to
the upper connector on the RAID controller
