7) When the radios send remote monitor, the LED indicator
light is red.
8) The screen displays "Wait RX" and the LED indicator
lights up in green. If you receive a prompt to confirm the
remote monitor, tones sounds, and display the "Wiretap-
ping"
• Or did not receive a remote monitor prompt confirmation,
a beep sounds, and the screen displays "Remote Mon. Fail"
1.3.3.2 Receive Remote Monitor
After receiving the remote monitor command, it automatical-
ly starts transmitting voice and surrounding environment
background sound, and exits automatically when the
transmission time is up.
Note: This function works only if the function is set and
turned on by programming software.
1.3.4 Radio Remote Disable
In digital mode, you can send a disable command to a
contact to make the radios unusable.
1.3.4.1 Initiate Remote Disable
1) Press[MENU] key to enter the main menu.

] key to Contacts, then press[MENU] key
to select.

] key to Digital Contacts, then press
[MENU] key to select.
4) Press [
] / [
] key to the desired user alias or ID, then
press[MENU] key to select.
5) Press [

] key to Application, then press[MENU]
key to select.
6) Press [
] / [
] key to Radio Disable, then pres[MENU]
key to select, the screen displays "Radio Disable..."
7) When the radio sends a remote disable command, the
LED indicator lights up as a red light.
8) If you receive the confirmation of the remote disable, the
prompt tone will be issued and the screen displays" Remote
Disable OK"
• Or if you do not receive the confirmation of the remote
disable, a prompt is issued, and the screen displays"
Remote Disable Fail"
1.3.4.2 Receive Remote Disable
After receiving the command of the remote disable, the LCD
screen is displayed as a white screen, and shows"Remote
Disable". When the radio is remote disable, it will not be
effective by pressing any key, and the radio will still be dead
after turn on again.
This function works only if the function is set and turned on
by programming software.
1.3.5 Radio Activation
In digital mode, you can send an activation command to a
contact to resume normal use of the radios.
