MM8003 User Manual
5.2 Over-The-Air (OTA)
The following section describes how to update MM8003 firmware using mobile device through
mCube OSM APP.
Step 1. Update mCube OSM APP to the latest version through Google Play, App Store or apk
from mCube website which mentioned in
Chapter 7
Downloads.
Step 2. Switch to 'Settings' page after mobile device is connected to the MM8003 and click
'Check new version'. APP will check if there is any newer version to update the firmware.
Note: User must connect the mobile to Internet during OTA process.
Step 3. If new firmware is available, user would be notified through a pop-up window. Otherwise,
it shows only 'You are running the latest version'.

Step 4. Click 'Start' to enable OTA process and wait until the process bar reaches 100%.
Step 5. A message 'Update success' is shown when OTA is complete. MM8003 will restart
automatically.
Note: User should keep MM8003 powered during OTA process.
Step 6. OSM APP will try to re-connect to MM8003 if reconnection feature is enabled. The
updated version number shows in 'Dashboard' Page after device is connected.
