Chapter 5 Troubleshooting

5-1 Troubleshooting of Controller ST4-C11

The number of blinks of the fault indicator (yellow) on ST4-C11 varies depend-
ing on the condition of error as shown in the table below.

Remedy
Check that the power supply capacity is
sufficient.
Connect the power supply correctly.
Set the supply voltage to 24V DC
Check that the emission halt input terminals
(between T1 and T2) short-circuit.
Wire the reset input terminals (manual
reset: between X1 and X2, or auto reset:
between X1 and X3) correctly.
To ensure the safety of system, use a NC
contact of forced-guided relay.
Replace the relay with proper response
time.
Use a momentary switch.
Replace the switch.
Check the noise condition around this de-
vice.
Replace the ST4-C11.
Set the same number of sensors on emitter
and receiver of ST4-A□.
Set the series connection condition within
the specified range.
For details, refer to "2-3-4 When Connect-
ing Multiple Units of Single-beam Sen-
sor ST4-A□."
Check that the cable of ST4-A□, ST4-CCJ□
(optional), or ST4-CCJ05-WY (optional) is
not disconnected or the connectors are not
loose.
Check the indicator of connected ST4-A□.
