Safety instructions
2.1
Installation and commissioning
– Never install damaged products or place them in operation. Report damages immediately to the
responsible forwarding agent.
– Installation, commissioning and service work on the device may only be performed by trained elec-
tricians with knowledge of the relevant accident prevention regulations.
– The applicable regulations and other special safety regulations for the item and application must be
observed.
2.2
User instructions
– Install and place the module in operation only if you are aware of the applicable regulations for
industrial safety and the operating instructions for the CMGA-B1 basic modules!
2.3
Intended utilization
– The module may only be used in a PROFIBUS-DP environment as a "SLAVE" sub-assembly in accord-
ance with the standard EN 50170.
– CMGA-E1-PB must not be used for safety-relevant reactions.
2.4
Operation and service
– Before installation and removal of the module or disconnecting signal and power supply cables,
power to the module must be switched off.
– During installation and removal of the module, appropriate measures must be applied to prevent
electrostatic discharge to the externally arranged terminal and plug connections.
