Using the portable system
If the portable system cannot be placed near enough
to the patient, it may be necessary to take the aspi-
rate bottle out of its holder and use the connecting
tube.
Note
Always keep the aspirate bottle in an upright posi-
tion. This will prevent activation of the overflow cut-
out which would force you to cease aspiration.
Removing the 250 ml aspirate bottle
1. Pivot receptacle holder

Replacing the 250 ml aspirate bottle
1. Wind extension tube

2. Pivot the receptacle holder 45° towards you.
3. Place receptacle
holder to its original position.
500 ml aspirate bottle
If a 500 ml aspirate bottle is being used, this will be
mounted on an immovable clip instead of in a pivot-
ed holder. Simply pull it out of the clip and press it
back in again.
