Installing an ESM

TIP: You can install an ESM into an enclosure that is powered on, provided you wait 60 seconds after
removing the old ESM. Check ESM and midplane power connectors before inserting the new ESM into the
enclosure.
NOTE: If an ESM blank is installed in the lower slot, it must be removed before installing the ESM.

3. Press the latches upward to engage the ESM (2); turn the thumbscrews clockwise until finger-tight.
4. Reconnect the cables.
