When both accessories are installed at the same time the proper distance
between them must be kept in order to avoid incorrect function. Minimum number
of holes on the Extension between Miller MightEvac Bracket and DuraHoist Winch
Bracket is 4 . When one device is installed on the Post of the DuraHoist Arm and
second one on the Extension minimum number of holes between them must be 2.
DuraHoist Winch must be always installed above the Miller MightEvac.
Use the Snap-hook Holder on the Miller MightEvac Bracket and DuraHoist Winch
Bracket to connect snap hook that is not currently in use. The un-used rope will
not get in the way while you are working.
7.3 – OPERATIONAL LIMITS
• On DuraHoist Arm you may use only the hole on the head as an anchorage
point.
• Make sure all Detent pins are fully inserted and correctly installed.
• Only one connection is allowed per one anchorage point.
• When DuraHoist Arm System is used as a part of fall arrest system, the user
shall be equipped with a fall arrester to limit the maximum dynamic forces
exerted on the user during the arrest of a fall to a maximum of 6kN.
• It is forbidden to handle any load when a person is accessing the confined
space. Only one person is allowed to access the confined space.
• The supporting ground under DuraHoist Arm System must be horizontal.
• Always check the stability of DuraHoist Arm System after installation and do
not use if it is not stable.
• A Risk assessment must always be made before each use –specific to the
working situation.
• The DuraHoist Portable Base shall be used with DuraHoist Arm only. It must not
be used with DuraHoist Arm XL.
• Do not use the Snap-hook Holder as an anchorage point.
8 – PERIODIC INSPECTION
This equipment must be inspected at least once a year. A Competent person,
properly trained and qualified, must inspect this equipment in compliance with
these instructions and appropriate details of the inspection must be recorded.
At each periodic inspection, complete the form Appendix number V and
attach a new inspection label with the next inspection date. The frequency of
examination shall be increased according to applicable regulations.
Warranty is void if periodic inspections are not performed and tracked as
described above.
If you detect any failure or damage on your product, or if you have any doubts
regarding its safety, the PPE must be immediately withdrawn from service and
returned to the manufacturer or an authorized service centre for inspection or
disposal.
