1- OVERVIEW
You have purchased class III personal protective equipment (PPE) for protection
against the risk of serious injury and fatality and we thank you for the trust that
you have placed in us. In order to ensure that you are completely satisfied with this
product, you must, BEFORE EACH USE, follow the instructions in this manual.
This manual covers the Portable Anchor Device DuraHoist Arm System with all of
its configurations and accessories for entering into a confined space.
Accessories: DuraHoist Arm System is used in combination with Miller
MightEvac Self Retracting Lifeline with Emergency Retrieval Hoist and DuraHoist
Winch. Each accessory must be associated to its own bracket. Only these 2
accessories are compatible to be installed and used with the DuraHoist Arm
System. Do not use any other accessories.
Bases: DuraHoist Arm System is designed to be used with various bases – portable
or fixed. Only bases listed in this manual can be used with the DuraHoist Arm
System. Do not use any other bases.
The DuraHoist Arm System and its parts is a product made of aluminium, stainless
steel and plastic. The DuraHoist Arm System with accessories serves as an
anchorage point for protective equipment against fall from height while entering,
maintaining, repairing and cleaning in confined spaces.
Entering a confined space is dangerous and can bring serious injuries caused by
a fall from height. DuraHoist Arm System in combination with Miller MightEvac
Self-Retracting Lifeline with Emergency Retrieval Hoist does not prevent free fall
but limits the drop.

We recommend you to read these instructions prior to each use. In
addition, the manufacturer or its representative assumes no liability for
use, storage or maintenance performed in a manner other than that described in
these instructions.
The cover provided under the product warranty is also subject to compliance
with the manufacturer's instructions. Failure to comply will result in the warranty
being voided. This warranty is given to only one purchaser of the product from
the manufacturer, unless otherwise stipulated by contractual provisions to the
contrary approved by the manufacturer.
IF THE PURCHASER IS NOT THE USER, HE MUST PASS ON THESE
INSTRUCTIONS TO THE END USER. WHENEVER POSSIBLE, IT IS STRONGLY
RECOMMENDED THAT PPE IS PERSONALLY ASSIGNED TO A SINGLE USER.
IF THE PRODUCT IS SOLD OUTSIDE THE FIRST COUNTRY OF DESTINATION,
FOR THE SAFETY OF THE USER, THE DEALER MUST ENSURE THAT THE
PRODUCT IS COMPLIANT WITH THE LAWS APPLICABLE IN THAT COUNTRY
