In normal circumstances it is only connected to the user. In case of a fall or any
other accident of the connected user it is equipped with an emergency handle
which can be used to hoist the user to safe ground. Refer to the User Manual of
Miller MightEvac.
• The emergency rescue function using the Miller MightEvac handle is applicable
only when the user connected to this device falls or has a serious injury limiting
the user from getting to safe ground.
B2 - DURAHOIST WINCH
• The DuraHoist Winch can be used to lower and lift equipment, tools and other
types of material. Maximum weight load limit for material handling is 300kg.
Refer to the User Manual of DuraHoist Winch.
A risk assessment and rescue plan must be done before starting work and hazards
connected to the working environment must be taken into consideration when
selecting equipment for a given application. Failure to observe these hazards
could result in serious injury or death. This equipment must be installed and used
by persons who have been trained in its correct application and use.
7.2- SETTING UP AND ADJUSTMENT
A - DURAHOIST ARM SYSTEM INSTALLATION
A1 - ASSEMBLY OF THE BASE (Fig. 4,5 & 13):
1. Place all parts of the DuraHoist Portable Base on the ground as shown on the
picture and remove the Leg Detent Pins.
2. Insert both legs into centre section, adjust the desired width of the base and
secure legs with the Leg Detent Pins.
3. Tighten the Locking Screw to remove the play from the base.
4. Adjust height and level using adjusting screws and the Level Indicator.
A2 - INSTALLATION OF THE EXTENSION AND ARM (Fig. 6):
1. Insert DuraHoist Extension into the Base.
2. Place the DuraHoist Arm over top of the DuraHoist Extension steel tube.
3. Align the cut-out in DuraHoist Arm and Centring bolt on DuraHoist Extension.
4. Tighten the Locking Screw to remove the play from the Extension and the Arm.
A3 - SETTING UP THE ARM (Fig. 9 & 10):
1. Remove the Main Detent Pin.
2. Move tube of the arm upward fashion towards open section above post
3. To secure the arm insert the Main Detent Pin through hole sets. Make sure the
Pin is correctly locked.
4. To adjust the offset of the Arm remove the Head Boom Detent Pin, adjust the
desired offset and insert the Pin back through hole set. Make sure the Pin is
correctly locked.
5. The Post can be secure into position by tightening the Locking Screw located
at the back of the Portable Base. It can be applied also when the Floor or Wall
Base is used.
A4 - INSTALLATION OF THE FIXED BASES (Fig. 11 & 12):
The DuraHoist Wall and Floor bases are designed to be permanently installed
either by bolting or welding them to a Concrete or steel structure. To ensure a safe
working environment a qualified engineer must approve each installation to local
standard.
For bolting of the bases use four M18 fasteners. Make sure that the area of the
