CALIBRATING THE COMPASS

Once the drone and remote have synced, you must calibrate the compass.
1. Push the throttle to the lower right corner and hold. Press the Return Home
button once (Fig.1).
2. The drone's indicator lights will begin to flash slowly. Release the throttle and
pick up the drone, holding it horizontally and 1 meter from the ground.
3. Slowly rotate 360° horizontally until the indicators begin to flash quickly
(Fig. 2). You may have to rotate a few times.
4. Hold the drone vertically and rotate 360° until the indicators are steady
(Fig. 3). You may have to rotate a few times.
*Never calibrate in areas with numerous and large metal objects such as parking
lots. Do not have your phone on you while calibrating.
CONNECTING TO SATELLITE
GPS - Once you have calibrated, the drone will search for satellite signals. Once
it has found enough GPS points, the backlights will turn green.
OR
Optical Positioning Sensor – this is automatically engaged when the drone
cannot pick up a GPS signal. This is best for indoor flight. The back lights
are yellow.
*
It will take approximately 1 minute to search for satellite signals. You will
likely have to go outdoors in order to access GPS signals.
** When the back green lights are flashing, this means that the GPS signal is
weak or faulty. Land the aircraft manually, turn everything off, and restart
the set up process.
