3.1.3 Selecting Measurement Resolution

3.1.4 Adjusting for Sample Salinity.

1. To change the units, access the setup mode by pressing the
key.
SETUP
2. Press the
UP ARROW
upper right hand corner of the display.
3. Press the
ENTER
The barometric pressure and altitude units will change
automatically.
This feature changes the resolution for dissolved oxygen
concentrations displayed in mg/L.
1. To change the resolution, access the setup mode by pressing

ENTER
and press the
EXIT
This feature adjusts the displayed dissolved oxygen concentration
in mg/L based on the sample's salinity.
Note: When the Sal icon is displayed during the Read Mode, a salinity
correction calculation is applied to the dissolved oxygen
concentration in mg/L. The dissolved oxygen concentration in %
saturation is the ratio of the displayed concentration in mg/L to the
equilibrium dissolved oxygen concentration for the sample's
temperature and salinity plus barometric pressure and altitude
entered in the meter.
Determine the salinity of the sample using an Electrolytic
Conductivity Meter. The units for salinity are parts per thousand
(0/00). See Table 7 on page 65.
1. After the salinity of the sample has been determined, access
the setup mode by pressing the
