Note:
Roaming stations will only roam among RangeLAN802 Access Points with the
same Encyrption Key (if Security is enabled) and ESSID, unless the
RangeLAN802 clients are configured to associate with "Any" ESSID.

Guidelines for Roaming

All RangeLAN802 Access Points must have the same ESSID, unless the
RangeLAN802 clients are configured to associate with "Any" ESSID.
If Security is enabled on the wireless network, then all RangeLAN802 Access
Points and RangeLAN802 clients must have the same Encryption Key.
All RangeLAN802 Access Points should have a unique Hopping Pattern.
All workstations with RangeLAN802 8400 Cards installed should be config-
ured with an ESSID which matches the ESSID of the RangeLAN802 Access
Points they will roam between, unless the RangeLAN802 clients are configured
to associate with "Any" ESSID. If Security is enabled on the wireless network,
all workstations with RangeLAN802 8400 Cards installed must have the same
Encryption Key as the RangeLAN802 Access Points they will roam between.
The cells created by RangeLAN802 Access Points must overlap.
Roaming will not occur across routers unless using a third party software utility
like Mobile IP.
Configure each RangeLAN802 Access Point in one roaming network with a
unique Hopping Pattern that is within the same IEEE 802.11 Set as the other
Access Points' Hopping Patterns. See Appendix E to determine which Hop-
ping Patterns are contained in the same IEEE 802.11 Set.
