Uninstall/reinstall instructions for Linux users
If you already have the Lexmark Pro910 Series printer driver installed and are experiencing any problems, follow
these instructions to uninstall and reinstall the original driver.
Uninstallation instructions for DEB-based package
1.
Log in as root.
2.
Uninstall the DEB package: dpkg -r <package>
Example:
a.
For installed driver with JRE:
#dpkg -r lexmark-inkjet-driver-wjre
#dpkg -r lexmark-wsu
b.
For installed driver without JRE:
#dpkg -r lexmark-inkjet-driver
#dpkg -r lexmark-wsu
Uninstallation instructions for RPM-based package
1.
Log in as root.
2.
Uninstall the RPM package: rpm -e <package>
Example:
a.
For installed driver with JRE:
#dpkg -e lexmark-inkjet-driver-wjre
#dpkg -e lexmark-wsu
b.
For installed driver without JRE:
#dpkg -e lexmark-inkjet-driver
#dpkg -e lexmark-wsu
Installation instructions
1.
Do not attach the printer via USB to the Linux machine.
2.
Download the Lexmark Pro910 Series printer driver from http://support.lexmark.com.
3.
Extract the downloaded zip file.
4.
Double-click the icon to run the installer script file, and then click the Run in Terminal button; or run the
script via the the command line.
5.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
Note: Do not reconnect the USB cable until instructed by the install software.9
