Carrier Life Test
The print carrier runs through a test algorithm which involves moving the carrier full length across the print zone
at various speeds. The test includes latching and delatching so that the maintenance station is fully tested. The
total number of cycles are shown on the display.
To perform this test:
1.
From the Manufacturing Test menu, navigate to Carrier Life Test.

Maintenance Life Test
This test performs 4000 printhead maintenance spit cycles.
To perform this test:
1.
From the Manufacturing Test menu, navigate to Maintenance Life Test.
2.
The display shows the number of cycles performed.
3.
The test stops after 4000 cycles, or when
Pump Clutch Life Test
This test cycles through the following:
1.
The carrier moves to the home position and pushes the pump clutch.
2.
The carrier leaves the home position and the pump clutch revolves.
3.
The display shows the number of cycles performed.
4.
Steps 1 and 2 are repeated 5000 times.
To perform this test:
1.
From the Manufacturing Test menu, navigate to Pump Clutch Test.
2.
The test stops after 5000 cycles, or when
Calibrate Scanner
This option calibrates the fully assembled printer to prevent vertical lines in ADF scans.
1.
Load documents into the ADF.
2.
From the Manufacturing Test menu, navigate to Calibrate Scanner.
3.
The documents are fed through the ADF.
4.
Touch
Scanner Life Test
This test runs full A4 length scans through the following resolutions: 75, 150, 300, 600 dpi, and then repeats
indefinitely. No data is sent over USB and the test is only used in standalone to verify the mechanical system.
To perform this test:
1.
From the Manufacturing Test menu, navigate to Scanner Life Test.
2.
The display shows the resolution being scanned and the number of passes.
