v Remove the battery assembly from the uninterruptible power supply
before removing the uninterruptible power supply from the shipping
carton.
v Do not attempt to install the uninterruptible power supply into the rack
unless the electronics assembly and the battery assembly have been
removed.
The weight of the uninterruptible power supply must be reduced by removing
the battery assembly before removing it from the shipping carton. Perform the
following steps to remove the battery assembly:
a. Open the top of the uninterruptible power supply shipping carton; and
then, with the assistance of another service representative, grip the flaps
on either side of the uninterruptible power supply.

b. Slide the uninterruptible power supply to the end of the carton and rest its
front edge of the edge of the carton as shown.
