In this case, if a single power source fails, only one node in the I/O group stops and the SAN Volume Controller system can continue to operate, although with reduced performance.

    The SAN Volume Controller 2145-CG8 runs an extended series of power-on self tests. The node might appear to be idle for up to five minutes after powering on. Figure 36 illustrates the controls and indicators on the front panel that verify the installation.
