If you connect or disconnect energized non-intrinsically safe circuits in a potentially
explosive atmosphere, sparks can ignite the surrounding atmosphere.
Only connect or disconnect energized non-intrinsically safe circuits in the absence of
a potentially explosive atmosphere.

Explosion hazard from changing the fuse
The changing of the fuse under voltage can cause sparks. This can ignite the surrounding
potentially explosive atmosphere.
De-energize the device before changing the fuse.
Disconnecting Circuits
1. Disconnect the power supply.
2. Disconnect the field circuit.
3. Disconnect the control circuit.
