6.10 Centrifugal clutch

6.10.1 To remove and install the centrifugal clutch
1. Remove the shaft. Refer to
the shaft on page 7 .
2. Remove the ignition module. Refer to
and install the ignition module on page 26 .
3. Hold the flywheel with the flywheel removal tool.
Servicing tools on page 11 . Use a socket
Refer to
wrench to loosen the 2 clutch screws.
4. Remove the clutch assembly (A), clutch screws (B),
lock washers (C) and the washers (D) at the same
time.
5. Install in the opposite sequence. Make sure that the
clutch rotates in the same direction as the arrows.

6.10.2 To clean and examine the centrifugal clutch
1. Remove the shaft. Refer to
the shaft on page 7 .
2. Examine the clutch drum on the shaft for wear and

3. Make sure that the thickness of the contact surfaces
on the clutch shoes are minimum 1 mm at the most
worn point. Replace the clutch shoes if it is
necessary.

6.10.3 To remove and install the flywheel housing
1. Remove the shaft. Refer to
the shaft on page 7 .
2. Remove the 4 screws (A) and remove the flywheel
housing (B) from the shaft assembly (C).

6.10.4 To disassemble and assemble the clutch
drum and the clutch housing
1. Remove the shaft. Refer to
the shaft on page 7 .
2. Examine the clutch drum for wear and damage.
