6.14.10 To grind the cylinder valves
1. Disassemble the cylinder valves. Refer to
disassemble and assemble the cylinder valves on
page 36 .
2. Apply a thin layer of bearing paste on the valve
head.
3. Put the cylinder valves into the valve guides.
4. Turn the cylinder valves until you can see an
approximately 0.8 mm wide matt grey stripe around
the valve heads.
5. Remove all bearing paste and make sure that the
valves are clean before you assemble them.
6.14.11 To remove the camshaft sprocket
1. Make sure that the engine is cold.
2. Remove the shaft. Refer to
the shaft on page 7 .
3. Remove the spark plug. Refer to
install the spark plug on page 25 .
4. Remove the ignition module. Refer to
and install the ignition module on page 26 .
5. Remove the valve cover. Refer to
install the valve cover on page 34 .
6. Push out the camshaft sprocket axle (A) with a
mandrel (B).

7. Remove the timing belt (A) from the camshaft
sprocket (B) and remove the camshaft sprocket.

6.14.12 To examine the camshaft sprocket and the
start-help mechanism
1. Remove the camshaft sprocket. Refer to
the camshaft sprocket on page 37 .
2. Examine the camshaft sprocket for damage and
wear. Replace the camshaft sprocket if it is
necessary.
3. Make sure that the lever arm can be moved from the
engaged position (A) to the disengaged position (B)
easily.

4. Make sure that the lever arm goes back to the
engaged position when you release the lever arm.
