• The main menu is displayed in the working pane on
the right side of the main screen. The entries on the
main menu are shortcuts for the most frequently
used functions.
The Profile-Based Setup Assistant
A profile contains the main parameters required to
configure the i40. All you need to do is follow the
steps in the assistant to complete the configuration.
You should have the data available prior to installation
to provide the remaining parameters. Consult your IT
contact if you do not have all of the information
available.
The first screen that appears is the Profile-Based
Setup Assistant home screen.
• Click Start to run the Profile-based Setup Assistant.
• The Profile-Based Setup Assistant is displayed (the
actual screen may differ from this one).
Need to update
Initial Setup Assistant Home Screen.
The Initial Setup Assistant applies to Distributed
Office i40 solutions that require complete
configuration and should only be reached if the unit
was re-initialized. Check your network plan or consult
your IT professional for help if necessary.
Select either Install from Scratch or Install from
Profile.
For Install from Scratch:
• Click Start.
• The Install from Scratch Assistant opens
For Install from Profile:
• Click Start.
• The Install from Profile Assistant opens.
• Select the Disk on Key (DoK) option or download a
profile from an ftp site.
• The Local Manager Screen or Profile-Based Setup
Assistant will appear. Refer to steps earlier in this
guide to proceed.
