4. Remove the front plastic hexagon nut (Pos. 1).

When setting the safety switches, make sure the
surfaces (Pos. 4) of the safety switch (Pos. 2) and
the actuator (Pos. 1) are precisely aligned and that
the operating distance (1 to 5 mm) is maintained.
The LED (Pos. 3) will only indicate the required
switching status if the safety switch is correctly
set. Lateral or vertical misalignment of the safety
switch reduces the assured operating distance and
influences the switching status. Failure to comply
with the specified settings may lead to undefined
switching statuses (e.g. LED lights but door contact
is not released).

8. Set an operating distance X = 1 – 5 mm between the
safety switch and actuator with the folding door
closed. When doing so, the flats of the safety switch
and actuator must be precisely aligned.
9. Secure the safety switch.
Tightening torque: 3 Nm.
10. Tighten the safety switch and re-check the dis-
tance.
11. Attach the connecting cable to the switch box.
12. Lay the connecting cable and secure with a cable
tie.
Note on adjustment
The procedure described above is generally sufficient
for setting the safety switches. Proceed as follows in
the event of difficulties with setting:
1. Remove all safety switches and actuators.
2. Place all safety switches and actuators opposite one
another on a bench so that the LEDs on the safety
switch light. LED CH1 and LED CH2 in the switch box
must then light (refer to Fig. 24).

3. Fit a safety switch in the splash guard housing and
set the switch. Observe the LEDs in the switch box.
The LEDs must light.
4. Once the safety switch has been set, continue with
the next one.
