Starting checking

1. In the "Rail pressure sensor calibration" window,
select <F6>.
? Calibration value checking is active.
2. Save the entry with <F12>.
3. Exit from the menu with <Esc>.
? The system software performs re-initialization
of the devices.
4. Call up the "Component selection" window
with <F12>.
5. Call up the "Database" selection menu with <F2>.
6. Select the "New component" menu item with <F12>.
7. In the "Type number" box, enter the numbers
0445020105 .
8. Call up the "Database" selection menu with <F2>.
9. Select the "Component search" menu item
with <F12>.
? The "Component selection local database"
window is displayed.
10. Select the test procedure for pressure sensor
checking 0445020105 C1 and call up with <F12>.
11. Call up the "Measurement display" window with
<F12>.

12. Switch on the converter and test oil pump at the
EPS control panel (refer to Pos. 5).
13. Issue controller release (Pos. 1).
14. Switch on the test oil heating (Pos. 4).
15. Start pump testing with <F8>.
? The EPS drive starts up.
16. Set the inlet pressure for the high-pressure pump
at the pressure control valve.

Checking measured values

1. Call up the "Measurement functions" selection
menu with <F7>.
2. Select the "Automatic on/off" menu item and
activate the automatic mode function with <F12>.
? The automatic mode symbol flashes in the
operating status display.
? The specified values are set and the waiting time
commences. On completion of the waiting time,
the system software switches automatically to the
next test step.
3. In the event of the message "
No further test step! Results with
F12 >>.
" call up the protocol with <F12>.
4. At all verification points, compare the measured
values Test bench pressure value and Test bench
press.val. upst.of filter to External pressure value.
The difference in pressure must not exceed 0.5 MPa.
Calibration must be repeated if the pressure differ-
ence is > 0.5 MPa.

End of calibration

1. Exit from the "Result printout" dialog window
with <Esc>.
2. In the "Injection component test main menu"
start screen select <F7>.
? A password request appears.
3. Enter the password in the input line:
4. Confirm the entry with <F12>.
5. Select the menu item Calibration/Rail pressure
sensor.
6. Select <F6> "Calib. check".
7. Continue with <F12>.
8. Exit from the menu with Esc.
? The system software performs re-initialization
of the devices.
9. Remove the USB cable of the pressure sensor from
the PC.
10. Remove the pressure sensor from the high-pressure
rail.
11. Use a dummy plug to seal the connection for the
CRI 846 distributor rail at the high-pressure rail.
12. Remove the common rail pump.
