PoE configuration using the ACLI
Prerequisites
You must log on to the Global Configuration mode in the ACLI.
Procedure steps
Configure the card power usage threshold by using the following command:
poe usage-threshold slot <slotlist> <0-99>

Configuring the PoE card power allocation priority

Configure the priority on the PoE card for the appropriate power allocation on the Avaya
Ethernet Routing Switch 8300.
Prerequisites
You must log on to the Global Configuration mode in the ACLI.
Procedure steps
Configure the PoE card power allocation priority by using the following command:

Configuration — Power over Ethernet
Sets the PoE card power usage threshold. The value can be
from 0 to 99 and is in percentage. The default is 80%.
Consumption above this threshold generates a warning
message stating that the consumption is above the threshold.
This message is sent to the console and log file.
Consumption that falls below this threshold generates a
warning message stating that the consumption is below the
threshold. This message is sent to the console and log file.
