4.3 Prepare the Fireplace

Your fireplace may look different than the one shown.
1. Remove (1) or both 6" diameter knock-out(s) located at the top
of the fireplace.
2. Bend the (3) tabs up and out far enough to allow for the duct
collar and duct pipe installation.
3. For each 6" knock-out removed in Step 1, remove the knock-out
located directly below the previously removed knock-out.
4. Remove the third knock-out directly below the one(s) removed
in Step 3.
5. Slide the duct collar, with the circulation holes facing downward,
into the 6" knock-out until it rests on top of the heat shield.

4.4 Attach Heat Duct Pipe to Fireplace

1. Slide the 6" duct pipe(s) over the collar(s) until resting on top of
the fireplace.
2. Bend the tabs up and over the duct pipe. Using the included
screws, secure the flexible pipe to the duct collar. Verify screws
penetrate both the flexible pipe and the duct collar.
3. Position the fireplace in the desired location.
