Entering the Terminal Type
If a logon screep other than the terminal type screen (C2) appears

at your terminal,
go to Step 4. If screen C2 appears, type in the number that corresponds to your
terminal type, then press the ENTER key.

INCORRECT RESPONSE
is displayed on the message line.
Enter a valid number. You can try again an unlimited number of times.
The selections shown in Figure 1-4 are examples only. Depending on the 3708
configuration, selection 24 and 25 may not appear on the screen. The selections for
user-defined terminals, UDTOI through UDT04, may be replaced with the names
defined during configuration.

Configuration Note: For the 3708, if port option OPERATING MODE is set to 0, or DEVICE CLASS is set to 2,
then protocol enveloping is the only mode allowed for the port, and the terminal type screen is not displayed.

Configuration Note: The user-defined terminal selections 24 and 25 are not supported if the 3708 is configured for
enhanced UDTs. To configure a UDT name, you must define enhanced UDTs.
