Chapter 2. Operating in Full-Screen Mode
When operating in full-screen mode, your terminal appears to the host as a 3270
terminal with full-screen edit capabilities. (This mode is also called protocol
conversion.) In this mode, your terminal's keyboard performs the 3270 functions
listed below.
• Cursor Left
• Cursor Right
• Cursor Up
• Cursor Down
• Tab
• Backtab
• New Line
• Home
• Erase EOF
• Erase Input
• Insert
• Delete
• Reset
• DUP
• FM
• Enter
• Clear
• PFI to PF24
• PAl, PA2, PA3
• SYS REQ
• DEVCNCL
• CURSR SEL
• ATTN
• Print
• IDENT.
In full-screen mode, the following functions may also be used:
• Null/Blank
• Type-ahead
• Status On/Off
• Refresh
• Resume Display
• Resume Printer
• Suspend Display
• Suspend Printer
• Terminal Controlled Print Functions
• Terminal Logon Initialization Sequence (TLIS) Refresh
• 2/4 Color Toggle.
Each of these functions is described in this chapter. Appendix C, "Terminal
Keyboard Maps" contains the key sequences that you should use for your terminal
to cause these functions. For example, on many terminals, pressing ESC then I
invokes the PFI function.
