When logging on, the following messages may be displayed in the error message line
of the logon screens.
BASIC CONFIGURATION IN USE, CALL SUPERVISOR
Meaning: This message can indicate a 3708 internal error has occurred or a
procedural error occurred at your site when powering on the 3708. Your
site's 3708 configuration is not in use; the IBM-supplied configuration is
active. You cannot access any hosts.
Action: Notify your system administrator or operator.
INCORRECT PASSWORD
Meaning: You did not type in the correct password. This message may
also occur if you attempted to use cursor movement keys other than the
Backspace key.
Action: Enter your response again.
INCORRECT RESPONSE
Meaning: Your response was unacceptable for some reason. You may have
selected a value that is not a valid response. This message may also occur if
you attempted to use cursor movement keys other than the Backspace key.
Action: Enter your response again.
HOST UNAVAILABLE, RETRY LATER
Meaning: The host you have selected is not available. For an ASCII host,
another user may already be accessing the host. For an SNA host, this
normally indicates that the network is not yet initialized or has failed.
Action: Enter your response again. If the problem persists, contact your
system administrator.

Meaning: There is a temporary buffer shortage within the 3708.
