BURN/ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD! Platen sections are HOT and can cause severe burns or severe shock.
Keep hands and objects out of the toaster unit! Failure to exercise caution may result in serious injury!
Turn the unit off, unplug it and let it cool down completely before touching or working on internal apparatus.
PROBLEM
Unit will not heat up.
Unit heats up, but the conveyor does not run.
Unit under- and over-heats (does not respond
to programming).
Buns under or over done.
Buns do not drop down through the chute.
Emergency situation.

Troubleshooting

WARNING
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Door is partially open.
No power to unit.
High limit switch tripped.
Inoperable power cord.
Loose connection on power switch.
Inoperable power switch.
Inoperable thermostat.
Inoperable platen.
Door is partially open.
Loose motor connection.
Inoperable motor.
Stripped drive gear.
Loose chain sprockets.
Check temperature setting.
Inoperable thermostat.
Check platen compression adjustment. (See Opera-
tion.)
Check platen temperature. (From READY screen,
pressing the INFORMATION button once will display
the left and right platen actual temperatures.)
Toaster may be set to BOP mode (club heaters off).
Incorrect adjustment of Lighter/Darker.
Toast time may be incorrect.
Bun stuck in the chute.
Release sheet not properly installed.
Release sheet has too much buildup
Oblong/irregular bun inserted in wrong orienta-
tion.
Water sprayed into running unit. Unit sparks.

SOLUTION
Close doors.
Ensure power cord is connected to proper recepta-
cle.
Reset high limit switch, and closely monitor platen
temperature during power up.

Adjust temperature set point setting. See Manage-
ment Programming.

Move platen adjustment knobs to the correct product
part setting.

Switch to MFY mode. See Management Pro-
gramming.
Adjust lighter/darker setting. See Lighter/ Darker
Adjustment.
Adjust toast time to correct setting. See Man-
agement Programming.
Turn off toaster. Push stuck bun through the chute from
the top of the toaster with bun removal tool.
Insert release sheet over center bar on in- feed chute
so that 12.7 mm (1/2") of release sheet ends extend
below the platen.
Replace release sheet.
Oblong buns must be inserted horizontally, not
vertically.
Turn off power switch if possible. Turn off circuit break-
er or disconnect power plug from the outlet. Call your
local service representative.
