    The Micromon has been designed in such a way that programming of the system can easily be performed by untrained personnel, in a matter of minutes. At power up, the programmer is prompted to make a few selections, all driven by easy menu options and icons.

    The Micromon provides audio and visual alarms whenever an input exceeds its Alarms pre-set alarm levels. The system can be pre-set to dial-out using a digital dialler or via a modem whenever an alarm occurs (via "extended setup menu").

    Maintenance Cleaning To keep the Micromon free from dust, periodically wipe the outside surface with a soft dry cloth. DO NOT use any abrasive cleaners, wax or solvents. Stubborn marks may be removed by using a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent.

    Appendix A 'AKM' Call Type The Danfoss AKM has been updated to allow it to receive alarms from m2 Background units. However the m2 alarm dialout procedure differs from the Danfoss Gateway in that it is not as tolerant of faulty telecommunication equipment.
