8. TROUBLE SHOOTING
8.00 OPERATIONAL DIFFICULTIES DURING STRAP FEEDING
S Y M P T O M
8.01 Incomplete or improper strap feed.
8.02 More than one layer of strap is fed into the
chute and stops after time delay setting.
8.03 The strap drive and the camshaft do not
move while the motor runs.
8.04 After completion of a strapping cycle the
strap tip hits the cutter blade when re-entering.
8.05 No strap feed.
8.06 Too much strap overlap. strap feeds too far.
C A U S E
Strap feed disturbance into the head.
Strap hits strap guide.
Malfunction of strap stop limit switch B102.
The small clutch Y37, 15 Nm at transmission
100.36 page 43 is not activated.
The vibrator support jams.
Spring in pressure pad (in pos. 8, drwg.
464655 page 39b) jams or is missing.
Strap switch B102 stays activated. Strap
switch B183 is not activated.
Time has been set too long.

R E M E D Y
Inspect dispenser, accumulator and pulleys
etc.
Check strap guide.
Inspect limit switch, replace or adjust as
required.
Inspect fuse, fast switching device and cable
terminals of transmission.
Remove and clean, see section 6.3 of the
manual.
Free pressure pad or insert spring.
Check switch actuator and actuator lever.
Ejector gate jams (clean). Check function of
proximity switch.
Time setting must be changed by
reprogramming the CPU. (Please inform
service department)
