    General Description Motor reactors reduce the voltage load on the motor windings by reducing the voltage gradients at the motor terminals that occur during converter operation. At the same time, the capacitive charge/discharge currents that occur at the converter output when long motor cables are used are reduced.
  • Page 14 When using components that have not been released, damage or malfunctions can occur at the devices or the system itself. • Only use motor reactors that SIEMENS has released for SINAMICS. NOTICE Risk of damaging the motor reactor by exceeding the maximum output frequency The maximum permissible output frequency when a motor reactor is used is 150 Hz.

If long motor cables are used, this leads to an additional current load on the converter due to capacitive charge/discharge currents.
