The drives in the front panel store user and Federation data and are protected by RAID:
■ A Small or Remote Site model tolerates up to 2 HDD failures and one SSD failure simultaneously
without data loss.
■ The Medium or Large model tolerates up to four hard disk drive (HDD) failures and one solid state
drive (SSD) failure simultaneously without data loss. Of the four HDDs, two of the drives must be in
one drive set and the other two drives must be in a different drive set.
■ A Small, All Flash model can tolerate one solid state drive (SSD) failure without data loss.
■ The Medium, All Flash model can tolerate up to two solid state drive (SSD) failures simultaneously
without data loss.
■ The Large, All Flash model can tolerate up to two solid state drive (SSD) failures simultaneously
without data loss.
